A Bang and A Whimper

I came back to blogging frequently last week with great gusto... and then was promptly bedridden for the next 3-4 nights. I didn't go to work since Monday until today and my family doctor has no idea why I fall flat for three days every year around this time of year. He sure is good about writing notes, though. He'll write whatever I say.

The point is <focuses with trouble> I'm backed up on end of term stuff, home stuff, personal stuff, and health stuff. I did have a lot of stuff I wanted to talk about, but for now these pics are a promise of future posts to come. I'm always around on Twitter and Pinterest, however, since they are my main forms of procrastination. (Soon I'll have pinned the entire internet universe.) Just look at this stuff and await my return. I promise, cupcakes and moscato wine when I come back! It won't be too long.

    1. Let's start one right now. I just drank some in a highball and feel a little rough. Half a bottle of wine on an empty stomach = not a good idea. :x

  2. Is that the owl lip gloss? And a Tocca? And a Bioderma???

    Happily occupied here :)

  3. Girl, I feel ya... My tonsils have been swollen for 2 weeks now, but the good news is: they are on the mend! Huzzah!

Hopefully you'll be at 100% soon. But I'm happy to chat with you on Twitter, so I'll cut you some blogging slack. ;P

    1. Seriously, I hate that feeling of waking up with a sore throat! Right now I have pounding headaches from coughing and today was blessed with the crimson tide. MY CUP OVERFLOWETH. Hope you're on the mend, Dani!

  4. Gah, get better soon!!! *raises a glass*

Also, S. and I love moscato...a local winery makes a fabulous version. It's a little too pricey to drink all the time (~$25 I think?) but man, it's so awesome...*wistful sigh*

I tried the Barefoot moscato this weekend and prefer the Jacobs Creek. Barefoot is good too but Jacobs Creek is slightly less sweet and more light. They're only $9-11!

  5. IS THAT A TOCCA PERFUME??

Hope you're at 100% soon, and for now I'll continue to stare in awe at your pins :)

    P.S. started Perfume yet?

    1. YES??? (That's a yes.)

I think my pins grow at exponential rates when I'm busy. It's such a great place for procrastinating! @_@

Not yet on Perfume. It's leisure reading for when I'm done all my coursework this week. :)

    1. Thanks, Angela. Luckily (or unluckily) I was granted an extension on my paper. It gives me more breathing space but I hate having it hanging over my head at the same time. :<

    1. Oh, hahahahaha! You always make me laugh. :) I think it's because of all those weddings. They tend to make women very shoe-oriented. I have a large shoe collection and figure I'll showcase them as well as the makeup from time to time. :)

  18. It's your body telling you to take a breather, my friend - listen to the body! I can't wait to read/hear all about your "stuff", but in the meantime, take care of yourself and I wish you a speedy recover! xox

PS: I read 'Perfume' years ago (and have since re-read it numerous times) and it's one of my absolute faves!

PPS: You may want to untie the babysitter now ... lol...

    1. Thanks, Eugenia! You're right and I've been run down for a while. I just wish it could have hung in there until next week when I don't have finals and crap to deal with. Oh well! My health nut co-worker says it's because I fail to take those damn vitamins, LOL.

Did you watch the movie as well? (I think there was a movie?) Looking forward to the read next week when I'm on my down time!

  19. Your shoes and toes are awesome!

I completely agree with ommorphiabeautybar. Your stress cup hath runneth over, and your body is hitting the brakes. Put yourself first, try very hard to forget about anything that absolutely does not require your immediate attention, and feel better soon. ♥

    1. Thanks, Zuzu! LOL @ stress cup. Yes, sadly, the cup can only hold so much. I was so worried about my parents' health but I broke down first. I've been procrastinating on a Shakespeare paper but it must be done this week. :(
